The seaborne Manganese ore trade was majorly impacted in 2020 amid the ongoing pandemic. The demand contracted in the first half of the year amid rapid spread of the virus and in Q4 (Oct-Dec) exports were down due to low production as major mines in Brazil were shut due to non-scheduled maintenance work. Thus, the production shortage translated in lowered exports.
