In various confirmed deals of about 12,000t and 8,000t of South African RB2 coal (5500 kcal/kg NAR) has been sold at INR 5,800/t ex-Gangavaram (exclusive of cess and GST), up by INR 200/t from last heard deals. The prices are up amid tight supplies from South Africa due to the ongoing maintenance at RBCT port and lesser cargoes booked by Indian buyers for January shipments, CoalMint learnt from market sources.
