Shri Pralhad Joshi (Minister of Mines and Coal) in a meeting last with Shri Naveen Patnaik (Odisha Chief Minister) deliberated on facilitating forest clearances, operationalization of closed mines & other issues to ensure smooth mining activities in Odisha. The govt has recently approved proposals to allot two iron ore mine blocks to OMC and one to OMECL to boost iron ore availability in the state.
