Marginal improvement in demand offers manufacturers in Ghaziabad to hike prices by Rs 100-200/MT. Offer of 150 light sections I-Beam is at Rs 35,700/MT (Basic). Prices of H-Beam 200×152 move up to Rs 39,200/MT (for both light and heavy sections). Demand is mostly from private construction projects. In conversation with a local manufacturing unit based at Ghaziabad they confirmed that they supplied 200-250MT material per day. They also said, “We receive queries and bookings after first half as Buyers closely watch the prices and fluctuation before that.”
Whereas Prices of ingot and scrap fell by Rs 100-200/MT because of price reduction in Mandi Gobindgarh and were offered at Rs 31,100/MT and Rs 28,300/MT respectively.
On the other side Structure manufacturers in Durgapur reduced their prices by Rs 200-300/MT in a week's time, on account of fallen ingot prices and slow demand, which resulted in production cut of around 30-40%. Moreover lesser supply to Assam and Uttar Pradesh because of rain affected the demand.
Mumbai holds the pattern and opens at the same level. Semi finished prices are unchanged hence prices of structure are invariable.

In Durgapur: 40 angle @33,200/MT, 200 angle @35,600/MT, 400 I-Beam @34700/MT.
