India: Maruti Suzuki reports 34% y-o-y rise in automobile production in Dec ’20

The country’s largest carmaker – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), has registered a 34% rise in its total production with 1, 55,127 units in Dec ’20 against 1, 15,949 units produced in Dec ’19. Total passenger vehicles (PV) production rose by 33.5% y-o-y to 1, 53,475 units in Dec ’20 while production of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) jumped by 67.3% y-o-y to 1,652 units in Dec ’20, according to the company release.
