Govt owned steelmaker – SAIL has scheduled an auction for 8,550 t (2,850 t x 3 rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 06 Jan ’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. The previous auction conducted on 30’Dec for 8,550 t was concluded at a weighted average price of INR 34,300/t exw. In Dec ’20, SAIL-Bokaro sold over 42,750 t pig iron in the merchant market. The same day, Durgapur Steel Plant is also conducting a pig iron auction for a quantity of 700 t.
