India: Maruti Suzuki reports 20% y-o-y growth in vehicle sales in Dec ’20

The country’s largest carmaker – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), has reported total sales at 160,226 units in Dec ’20, up 20.2% y-o-y against 133,296 units in the same period last year. Out of the total sales, domestic and OEMs sales were at 150,288 units and exports stood at 9,938 units. The company expects the rural sales to grow further but is uncertain about the demand in the urban market.
