Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 15,000 t (52 & 60 kg-full length) commercial rail from its Bhilai Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh. Entire quantity was booked at INR 31,600/t exw. This is the first time when BSP has auctioned this material. Previously, BSO-Bhilai was the selling authority of this product. In the previous auction conducted on 23 Dec ’20, 60kg defective rails were booked at 31,400/t exw.
