India: APL Apollo likely to further hike pipe prices by INR 2,500/t ($34) in Dec ’20 – sources

India’s largest producer of structural steel tubes – APL Apollo Tubes Limited is planning to increase pipe prices by INR 2,500/t, to be effective from 29th Dec ’20, after having already raised prices by INR 7,000/t ($95) this month. Current offer for base grade (25 – 125 NB, 2.2 – 8 mm thickness) stands at INR 57,250/t (ex-Mumbai), INR 57,000/t (ex-Delhi) and INR 55,000/t (ex-Raipur). The company has the capacity to produce 2.6 mn t pa tubes and sections.
