The CNF China price for Australian premium low-volatile (PLV) hard coking coal (HCC) hit an 18-month high yesterday, surging by $5/t to $201/t on continued buying interest and limited availability of spot tonnages. Meanwhile, the FoB price for Australian PLV HCC moved slightly up by $0.5/t to $101/t amid moderate year-end demand.
