Melting scrap prices observed nominal correction by INR 100-200/t d-o-d basis or remained in the existing range in most of the regions, as per daily SteelMint assessment. However, in the north region it fell by INR 500/t. Scrap shortage remained in northern and southern India, while in western India, it remained on average levels. Further, trade participants are not assuming any major contraction in the near term.
