Russia’s integrated steelmaker Severstal has contracted Danieli for the supply of a new steel rolling mill for special steel to be installed in Cerepovec. This new plant will produce 1 mn t pa of 5.5-32 mm diameter smooth wire rod and coiled bars for engineering and automotive industry and 8-16 mm diameter quenched rebar for construction purposes. The mill is expected to start by the end of CY ’20.
