scrap prices open at a lower side on 24,000/MT. Prices went down by Rs 300/MT
in the early trade at Rs 24,300/MT (Basic Price, ED & Taxes extra).
Rolling plate cutting scrap
suppliers have also reduced their offers by up to Rs 100-300/MT on thin buying
interest. Scrap of 4 ANI plate traded at Rs 24,700-800/MT, 6 ANI at Rs 25,600-700/MT
and 12 ANI at Rs 26,800-900/MT.
“Prices are fluctuating in the range of Rs 100-300/MT these days
for ship breaking scrap. It is expected to hold the same pattern in the coming
days as well”, said a trader based in Alang.
