India: Secondary rebar prices further increase by up to INR 800/t ($11)

Rebar prices of mid-sized mills continued to go up by INR 200-800/t d-o-d in most of the major Indian markets. Demand and buying inquiries varied from region to region. In a few specified markets of western region, active demand led to an increase in rebar prices while in other regions, traders booked limited quantity as per their requirement. Sources told SteelMint that high raw material cost and adequate booking in hands may keep rebar prices strong in the near term.
