Melting scrap prices witnessed mixed trends varying by INR 100-500/t across major scrap markets. Northern and southern India witnessed a maximum hike by INR 400-500/t. However, in the western regions, prices recorded a marginal fall of INR 100-300/t d-o-d particularly in the Kandla market owing to limited production levels, trade sources reported to SteelMint.
