In a confirmed deal, 2,000 t of South African RB2 coal (5500 kcal/kg NAR) has been sold at INR 6,000/t ex-Gangavaram (exclusive of cess and GST), up by INR 200/t than yesterday and further rise is also expected. As per market sources, there is lesser availability of Australian coal at Gangavaram port at present which is why it is anticipated that cement and sponge buyers from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh would accept even raised offers.
