Steel plants in Raipur and Raigarh have reported bookings of 3,000-3,500 t rebar from Chennai based traders, SteelMint learned from sources. The deals have been concluded at around INR 38,500-38,800/t exw (equivalent to INR 41,600-41,900/t FoR Chennai), on advance payment. Meanwhile, the trade reference price of rebar in Chennai is currently hovering at INR 44,100-44,200/t FoR.
