JSW is ramping up production at its new 1.2 mn t per annum wire rod mill, which is likely to reach full utilisation level by Mar’21. The new mill recorded 40,000 t sales in in Dec’20, doubling its sales volume in the domestic market from 20,000 t in Nov’20, senior company sources informed SteelMint. The total capacity of the Indian wire rod market is 6.5 mn t at present.
