South Korea: Hyundai Steel raises bid for Japanese scrap by JPY 6,500/t ($63)

South Korean mill – Hyundai Steel has raised bids for Japanese scrap by JPY 6,500/t ($63) w-o-w, sources have reported SteelMint. Interestingly, the mill has bid for H2 scrap after a gap of one month. The bid price for H2 is now set at JPY 40,000/t level, and for HS and Shindachibara new price would be JPY 43,500/t FoB. Sharp hike in yesterday’s Kanto tender have pushed up Japanese scrap prices.
