South African RB2 coal traded at INR 5,400/t ex-Gangavaram port

In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of South African RB2 coal (5500 kcal/kg NAR) has been sold at INR 5,400/t ex-Gangavaram (exclusive of cess and GST), down by INR 100/t since the start of the week. The high stock levels at Gangavaram port, increased availability of domestic coal and moderate demand from sponge sector in India is driving down the portside prices.
