PSU steel major SAIL held a pig iron auction from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) for 10,650 t material on 08 Dec’20. The entire quantity was booked at a weighted average price of INR 32,000/t – recording a rise of INR 1,750/t compared to the previous auction held by BSP on 23 Nov’20. SAIL pig iron auctions are garnering active response, thanks to stiff raw materials and substitute feed costs.
