Japan’s leading EAF mill- Tokyo Steel has hiked its scrap purchase price today for JPY 1,500/t ($14) at Tahara and JPY 1,000/t ($10) at other four works. The revised prices will be effective from tomorrow (9th Dec’20). The company would pay JPY 36,000/t ($346) for H2-scrap delivered to Tahara and JPY 31,500/t ($302) for Utsunomiya works in Kanto.
