India’s monthly crude steel output was recorded at 9.17 mn t in Nov, up by 1.2 % against 9 mn t in Oct ’20, according to the data released by Joint Plant Committee (JPC). Pent up demand boosted mills to raise output. Total crude steel output during Apr-Nov ’20 fell by around 15% y-o-y to 62 mn t against 73 mn t over the same period last year due to pandemic.
