India: APL Apollo likely to hike pipe prices by total INR 4000/t ($54) in Dec ’20 – Sources

India’s largest producer of structural steel tubes – APL Apollo Tubes Limited is planning to increase pipe prices by INR 2000/t w.e.f 7th Dec ’20, after having already raised prices by INR 1000/t at the beginning of the month. Another hike of 1000/t is expected to be effective on 21st Dec, sources reported to SteelMint. Current offer for base grade (25-125 NB, 2.2-8 mm thickness) is assessed at INR 51,250/t (ex-Mumbai), INR 51,000/t (ex-Delhi) and INR 49,000/t (ex-Raipur).
