SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron price assessment increased by INR 100-200/t (d-o-d) in Raipur (central India), however trade volumes dropped sharply with no major inquiries reported. Today, P-DRI offers were quoted by manufacturers at INR 25,300-500/t, while about 1,500 t deals have been reported at around INR 25,200-300/t on exw & FoR Raipur basis from Raigarh. Participants are assuming that prices may see slight fluctuation, if supply continues to remain constant.
