Japan’s leading EAF mill – Tokyo Steel has announced a price hike further for scrap purchase price by JPY 500-1,000/t ($5-9) for all five plants. Revised offers will be effective from tomorrow (3rd Dec ’20). The company would now pay JPY 33,500/t ($ 321) for H2-scrap delivered to Tahara and JPY 30,000/t ($287) for Utsunomiya works.
