Secondary mills’ billet export demand remained strong, with about 15,000 t deals reported in the last couple of days at $460-465/t exw Durgapur (eastern India), equivalent to $485-490/t CPT Nepal, via road delivery, trade sources reported to SteelMint. The demand remained supported on account of limited allocation by primary mills & seasonal demand of finished steel in Nepal. Further, according to participants, over 50,000 t billets were being booked in November by secondary mills for exports to Nepal.
