The FoB price for Australian premium hard coking coal remained unchanged at $98.50/t yesterday with fresh bookings, while the CNF China price rose by $1/t to $169/t amid continued tight supply. Chinese steel mills have become obliged to pay a premium for high-quality hard coking coal from countries other than Australia.
