The supply of pig iron in Punjab may see improvement in the next couple of days, following the resumption of rake movement services in the state. SteelMint learned that about 6-7 rakes (2,150-2,450 t/rake) of foundry grade pig iron are soon to be delivered to Ludhiana (Phillaur) siding. This may further increase availability of foundry grade material. Today, offers for foundry grade pig iron stand at INR 35,000/t FoR Ludhiana, down by INR 500/t d-o-d and by INR 1,200/t w-o-w.
