Domestic melting scrap prices were down by INR 100-500/t d-o-d in major consuming markets in India. Current trade reference price for HMS (80:20) stands at INR 26,100/t Jalna, INR 25,500/t Chennai (DAP). Prices fell due to adequate availability and lack of buying inquiries and trades in semi-finished and finished steel, SteelMint learned from trade sources.
