India: JSPL’s steel production rises 13% y-o-y in Oct’20

Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) reports growth in its standalone steel production and sales during Oct’20.

Key Highlights are as follows:

  • Standalone steel production up 13% y-o-y in Oct’20: The company recorded a 13% growth (y-o-y) in Standalone Steel Production with 0.59 mn t in October 2020 as compared to 0.52 mn t in the previous year during the same period.
  • Standalone Sales up by 10% (y-o-y) in October 2020: Company’s Standalone Sales rose by 9% (y-o-y) in October 2020 with 0.60 mn t as compared to Standalone Sales of 0.55 mn t in the previous year during the same period.
  • Exports contributed to 28% of the total sales volumes: The export sales contributed to 28% of total sales volumes in October 2020. Company’s exports also grew at a rate of 37% (y-o-y) in October 2020.
  • Ever Highest Pellet production of 0.70 mn t in October 2020: The Company reports Ever Highest Pellet production of 0.70 mn t in October 2020. JSPL also reports Ever Highest wire rod production of 0.04 mn t in October 2020.
