Imported scrap prices to Turkey continue to move up this week with numerous deals getting concluded recently, SteelMint learned. A Mediterranean region based steelmaker has booked European origin bulk cargo, comprising of 15,000t of HMS (75:25), 12,000t of shredded, 12,000t of bonus, and 4,000t of new cutting at an average price of $333/t CFR Turkey. SteelMint’s assessment for HMS (80:20) for USA origin now stands at $332/t, up by $2/t against yesterday.
