Indian sponge iron export offers hit 20-month’s high in recent deals

Indian sponge iron export offers have increased by $5-10/t in recent deals concluded. Deals of about 2,000 t were reported at around $335/t CPT Benapole (equivalent to $350-355/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh). With the recent deal, SteelMint’s benchmark prices have climbed to 20-months high. The prices have increased constantly amid hike in Indian domestic offers on strong demand.
