India: Raipur’s Structure Gauge Difference benefits Mumbai Structure Market

Mumbai Structure prices firm because of slight increase in local demand. Structure brands offers inched up owing to increased raw material prices.

Implement of gauge difference in Raipur still benefiting Mumbai market. Earlier, Raipur Structure prices were at around INR 1,000-1,500/MT lower compared to Mumbai’s prices. However, after this implementation, the Raipur’s price difference is at around INR 300-500/MT. Raipur is one of the major supplier of Structural steel for Mumbai.

Mumbai based Vaishnav Ispat kept its offers unchanged from a week’s time as Mumbai local demand increased. Currently, Vaishnav Ispat offers 40 mm Angle at INR 36,200/MT.

Grace Casting, an Ahmedabad based Structure unit hiked its prices by INR 200/MT in a week’s time. However, demand for the material is stable. Prices increased on account of high Scrap prices.

Durgapur Structure prices also registered INR 200/MT improvement. Demand fall slightly as compared to last week.

Structure offers in Ghaziabad marginally moved up by INR 100/MT. Demand sloped down in retail sectors, however increased Ingot/Billet prices and buying from construction project supports price hike.
