In confirmed deals, 3,000t of South African RB2 coal (5500 kcal/kg NAR) has been sold INR at 5,700/t ex-Haldia and 25,000t has been sold at 5,800/t. At Gangavaram a trade is heard at Rs.4,600/t and another 2,000t trade is heard at Rs.4,800/t (exclusive of cess and GST). The domestic portside prices are rallying amid rising South African thermal coal index which is trending at $65.3/t amid supply concerns from S.Africa.
