Domestic melting scrap prices decreased by INR 100-400/t d-o-d in most of the major consuming markets. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 24,800/t Jalna, INR 24,500/t Chennai (DAP). Lack of demand in semi-finished and finished steel remained as the major factor behind downfall in scrap prices.
