Domestic melting scrap price in Alang (Gujarat) witnessed a sharp hike of INR 700/t, due to improved transactions while in some other locations prices were stable. In the north region, price moved down by INR 400/t due to lack of buying inquiries and limited transaction in semi-finished steel. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 25,300/t Jalna, INR 24,500/t Chennai (DAP).
