India: GPIL registers 33% q-o-q rise in pellet production in Q2 FY’21

Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL) produced 617,000 t iron ore pellets in Q2 FY’21, up 33% q-o-q on account of improvement in domestic demand and realization. Production in H1 FY’21 totaled 1.08 mn t, an increase of 10.2% y-o-y against 980,800 t during H1 FY’20. The company stated that plant operations have normalized and are back to pre-pandemic levels. Their current utilization rates have crossed 90% across divisions.
