India’s govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Limited conducted an auction for defective steel. Auction conducted was from its central India based Bhilai Steel Plant on 02 Nov’20. The auction noticed increased in bid prices compared to the last auction conducted on 23 Oct’20.
SteelMint’s price assessment for Raipur billet increased by around INR 1,500/t in last one week on increase in sponge prices.
A total quantity of 19,434t defective steel was put up for auction, out of which 18,764t (96.55%) was sold and 670 t remained unsold.In previous auction held on 23 Oct’20, share of total sold quantity was around (97.58%).
