India: SAIL BSP’s pig iron auction fetches bids higher by INR 1,750/t ($23)

Steel Authority of India conducted an auction for 8,000 t prime steel grade pig iron from its Bhilai Steel Plant yesterday (3 Nov’20). The auction fetched bids at a weighted average price of INR 28,760/t exw for the entire quantity, SteelMint learned. Last auction for the same quantity conducted on 20 Oct, received bids at INR 27,000/t exw.
