Korea Western Power (KOWEPO), a leading power supplier in Korea invites tender for purchase of Steam Coal for long term contract basis for its Taean Power plant.
No Russian Coal supplier is allowed to participate in this tender.
Eligibility
- Bidder shall supply the entire shipment from only single mine. Supply of Coal for any shipment more than one mine shall not be allowed.
- Bidder shall have a prior experience for supply of 60,000 MT pa to any major power generation companies in Taiwan, Japan & Korea during the past three years.
- If bidder previously supplied 1 panamax (60,000-70,000 MT) to KOWEPO, the bidder supposed to submit a letter of guarantee for the freight costs.
Specification
- GCV (ARB): 6,000 kcal/kg (min)
- Moisture (ARB): 15% MT (max)
Total quantity: 330,000 MT pa +/- 10%
Term of the contract: Five years, starting from 01 Jul, 2014 to 30 Jun, 2019
Bidders need to quote fixed price for first year (CY1) in USD/MT FOBT.
The prices for the remaining Contract Years (CY2 ~ CY5) shall be determined by mutual agreement of the both parties.
Shipment size & delivery term: Mini cape size (110,000 MT) on FOBT basis only.
