Sponge iron trades in Raipur resumed today at a firm price range. Total of around 5,000 t confirmed deals were reported for P-DRI at INR 21,700-800/t exw & FoR basis, out of which 60% volume was sold from Raipur based plants, while the remaining was from Raigarh. Sponge iron supply remained low in the spot market due to maintenance shutdown of kilns by few mid-sized plants.
