Sponge iron prices in Raipur have further increased by INR 300/t today. Deals of about 3,000 t P-DRI were recorded by SteelMint at INR 20,400-600/t, up by INR 200-300/t d-o-d. According to trade sources, prices are likely to remain strong on tighter pellet availability and recent hike in pellet offers by INR 300-400/t today.
