Japan: Tokyo Steel hikes scrap purchase price again for two works

Japan’s EAF mini mill -Tokyo Steel has raised its scrap purchase price by JPY1000 ($9.5) for two plants, effective from tomorrow (23rd Oct’20). The company would pay JPY 27,000/t ($258) for H2 scrap delivered to Okayama plant and JPY 26,000/t ($248) for Takamatsu plant, SteelMint gathered from company’s circular. The prices remained unchanged for the other works including Tahara and Utsunomiya.
