Japan’s EAF mini mill -Tokyo Steel has announced a hike of JPY 500/t ($5) in its scrap purchase price for two plants, effective from tomorrow (21th Oct’20). The company would pay JPY 26,000/t (246) for H2 scrap delivered to Okayama plant and JPY 25,000/t ($236) for Takamatsu plant, SteelMint gathered from price circular. However, the company has kept bid price unchanged for the other three plants including Tahara and Utsunomiya.
