Brazil CSN reports 15% drop in slab output in Q3 CY’20

Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) produced total 781,000 t slabs in Q3 CY’20, which is a decline of approximately 15% against the previous quarter figures at 913,000 t. This decline in output was due to the strategic shutdown of blast furnace No. 2 at the end of May’20. CSN is the one of the largest integrated steel producer in Brazil and Latin America having a crude steel output of 5.6 mn t pa.
