Russian steelmaker Severstal has reported 3% increase in its crude steel output, recording 2.89 mn t in Q3 CY’20 against 2.81 mn t in Q2 CY’20, supported by growth in hot metal output following the completion of maintenance works at blast furnace facilities. The same in the first nine months CY’20 decreased by 6% to 8.55 mn t against 9.13 mn t over 9M CY’19. Consolidated steel sales increased 18% q-o-q to 3.01 mn t in Q3’20 against 2.55 mn t in the previous quarter.
