Kanto Tetsugen-Japan’s monthly ferrous scrap export tender for Oct’20 was scheduled today. A total of around 20,500 t of Japanese H2 scrap was awarded at an average price of JPY 28,406/t ($268) FAS, falling by JPY 964/t ($9) m-o-m, SteelMint learned from its trade channels. Decline in global scrap prices and fall in bids from South Korean and Vietnam mills have softened Japanese scrap prices.
