Turkey: Ferrous scrap imports decrease by 20% m-o-m in Aug’20

Turkey- world’s largest ferrous scrap importer, witnessed a 20% fall in Aug’20 on high prices amid tight availability from US. The country imported 1.89 mn t in Aug’20 as against 2.35 mn t in Jul’20. In CY19, Turkish ferrous scrap imports stood at 18.83 mn t.
