Domestic melting scrap prices moved up by INR 100-200/t d-o-d basis in most of the major consuming markets, owing to better trade activity and increase in price of finished steel. However in Alang market, scrap price increased by INR 400/t due to shortage of manpower. Current trade price is assessed at INR 23,700-24,000/t in Jalna and INR 22,600-22,900/t in Chennai (DAP).
